Welcome to my corner of the web.

Welcome to my corner of the web.

Welcome to my corner of the web.

Born and raised in Penang, Malaysia, I moved to the US at 17 and now call the evergreen state of Washington home. The seeds of my creativity were planted in front of a computer, where PowerPoint became my first storytelling canvas. Those early experiences sparked a passion that has evolved into far grander aspirations.

My purpose is to use design as a bridge between humans and technology. I strive to create interfaces that are not only useful but feel natural and intuitive. We live in an era where technology is indispensable, yet many still struggle with difficult-to-use legacy systems.

Beyond familiar consumer products, areas like enterprise software, healthcare, and finance remain largely untapped by good design. My goal is to lower these technological barriers, making digital experiences more accessible and user-friendly for everyone. After all, technological advances only matter if people can actually use them.

A brief history

My journey in design began at the University of Washington, where I studied Human Centered Design & Engineering. This foundation set the stage for my career. Over the past 4+ years, I've had the privilege of building and shipping software both large and small, creating systems, and building teams. Here's a quick look of my career (so far…)

Orion First FInancial

UX Design Intern

2019 • Tacoma

My first design gig was with Orion First Financial, a local loan provider for businesses where I designed an all-new customer payment portal. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of my exciting journey into design.

Flexport

Product Design Intern

2021 • San Francisco

My conversation with Andrew Kaye instantly convinced me Flexport was where I needed to be. In just 12 weeks, I rapidly grew as a designer, learning cross-functional collaboration, contributing to design systems, and honing my skills in solving complex problems through design.

Edifecs

UX Design Intern

2021 - 2022 • Bellevue

Edifecs drew me in with the opportunity to impact the archaic healthcare industry. This experience not only broadened my understanding of healthcare challenges but also taught me to recognize the qualities of great manager. The role proved to be a learning experience, shaping my professional growth.

UBer

Product Designer

2022 • Seattle

Through UW, I had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with the Trip team at Uber on a joint venture project to bridge the trip experience between riders and drivers. What I loved most was that I had the chance to directed, filmed, and edited our concept showcase film which won two awards.

Flexport

Product Designer

2022 - 2023 • Seattle

I returned to Flexport right after graduation and joined the Freight Forwarding Team. The level of detail and polish that went into design was just inspiring to be around and continued to learn as I collaborated with brilliant engineers to push the future of the Flexport platform to the next level. I will always cherish my time there, especially with the FFA team.

Arc

Sr. Product Designer

2023 - Current • Seattle

Look, I never thought I'd be joining an early stage startup this earlier in my career. Yet, after meeting Bobby and the Arc team, I was in. I became the 3rd design hire. Leading design initiatives for Cash Management and Spend products. The products that I’ve led design, strategy, and implementation directly influenced Arc’s growth to over $650M AUM.

Outside of design

When I'm not pushing pixels, you'll likely find me busy diving into video games. Games like Monument Valley are a great way to appreciate what software can be. Video games have also taught me a thing or two about perseverance as I've grinded my way to Diamond rank in Valorant. I'm also a bit of a foodie and love to cook, which is another avenue for appreciating creativity and culture.
